Research Medical and Dental Facilities

spa holiday relax medical tourism health vacation-9.jpg

It's very important that you thoroughly research the different countries and medical facilities featured throughout this Web site to make sure that they offer the appropriate treatment for whatever condition you currently have.  India, for example, has some of the best cardiology (heart) programs in the world.  Thailand is a pioneer in plastic surgery, joint replacements, and fertility.  Singapore is leading the way in liver treatments and stem cell research.  Mexico is extremely progressive about certain cancer treatments.  And Hungary has some of the most advanced dental clinics around.  Different facilities will have different strengths and weaknesses, so it pays to do your homework.

In order to receive optimal care, proper research is an absolute necessity.

It's not enough to just review a medical facility's Web site.  Read blogs, forums, and user reviews of each facility that you research.  Ask friends, family members, and physicians on their views about whatever hospital or dental clinic you want to visit.  Check the accreditation, mortality rate, success rate, educational background of physicians, nurse : patient ratio, and medical history of each establishment as well.  Although many medical tourism facilities offer world-class service, many do not.  Make sure that you ask the right types of questions, you understand your rights as a patient, and you have all of the information you need.
